For over 30 years Janet has given private instruction on baroque and modern flute.  She is frequently invited to give master classes in the U.S.A. and Canada and has taught summer courses presented by:

The San Francisco Early Music Society
Early Music Vancouver
Indiana University
Amherst Early Music
International Baroque Institute at Longy School of Music
Boxwood Wooden Flute Festival
Western Baroque Music Festival (formerly Albuquerque Baroque Festival) – summer of 2011

Currently Janet teaches privately and is an adjunct professor in the Early Music Department at Cornish College of the Arts in Seattle.
In addition to teaching early flutes and baroque interpretation, Janet often presents classes on the positive effects of the F.M. Alexander Technique when applied to playing the flute. The principles of this Technique and how they can be used to achieve more ease, consistency, and flexibility in playing are a strong thread running through both her teaching and her performance.

For more information on private lessons, master classes, the Cornish program, or the Alexander Technique, please contact Janet.
